GSD is committed to working with local businesses and organisations to create a better future for all Tasmanians.
This commitment extends throughout the community, with our support in a number of areas.
Local sport
We proudly cheer on Tassie kids playing in local, national and international competitions, as well as providing financial support for uniforms, equipment and travel. Sports support include ice hockey, inline hockey, soccer and indoor cricket.
Local arts
We love a standing ovation, and applaud long and loud for local theatre companies and productions, including the Old Nick Company’s Hobart Theatre Summer School and John X’s annual Shakespeare in the Gardens, as well as productions such as Rocky Horror Picture Show and Annie.
Local charities
We’re not afraid of putting ourselves out there to raise money and awareness of charitable causes – even if it does mean wearing funny outfits and competing in team-building activities such as The Mind Games. Other charities we support include Make a Wish Foundation, Cancer Council Tasmania, Dress for Success and the RHH Research Foundation.
