Words to live by
"Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we will ever do."

What is your most memorable career highlight to date?
When I was only 24 (last century!), whilst working at Hydro Tasmania in a very male dominated workforce, with very few female leaders, I was fast tracked into a senior leadership role than spanned both technical and retail workforce, the youngest female to ever do so. What was so powerful, was that I was the first, then it enabled others to follow behind.

What do you believe to be the key to success in your field?
Firstly, I am not quite sure what my field is, as I can do many "jobs" and I am not a fan of job titles, however I know that thriving in a world of constant change means being adaptable and seeing the bigger picture. I’m quick to pivot when needed and always connect the dots to keep everything moving toward the long-term goal, even when things get complex.

For me, building trust is key. I listen deeply, making sure people feel safe to speak up and share their concerns. When people trust that they’re heard, real collaboration happens, and we can navigate even the toughest challenges together.

At the heart of it, I’m a mapmaker in uncertain times—providing clarity, guiding others, and empowering them to confidently tackle whatever comes next.

What do you use as a source of inspiration for your work?
My passion for strategic change is deeply rooted in both my upbringing and my core values of social justice and equity. Growing up in a low socio-economic environment, my parents always showed me that I could rise above my circumstances and become anything I wanted to be. This instilled in me a commitment to helping others do the same, creating opportunities where everyone can thrive.

I don’t naturally gravitate toward rigid hierarchies, but I know how to work within them to break down barriers and foster positive change. For me, it's about empowering people to be the best version of themselves, making sure they feel heard, supported, and ready to embrace change. By focusing on equity, trust, and personal growth, I aim to create environments where individuals can not only adapt but flourish.
